About Us

Atlanta Legal Aid Society, Inc. and Georgia Legal Services Program provide assistance to low-income clients throughout Georgia in certain civil areas, including housing, consumer, public benefits, education, domestic relations, tax, employment, record-sealing, and basic estate planning.

We created the GeorgiaLegalConnect.org to allow free legal service and pro bono legal service providers throughout Georgia to provide remote free legal assistance to low-income Georgians. Through the GeorgiaLegalConnect.org website, technology will transform how and when legal assistance reaches those in need, as it will facilitate video conferencing and document sharing between clients and volunteer attorneys. Self-represented litigants and legal aid clients will consult online with staff or volunteer attorneys to obtain legal advice, hearing preparation guidance, and assistance with completing forms. Volunteer attorneys will provide services remotely at times that work with their schedule and availability, and clients will be able to participate from their home counties.

The goal of the program is to provide low-income Georgians with high-quality free legal services. By leveraging remote assistance technology and collaboration tools, GeorgiaLegalConnect.org connects attorneys with low-income Georgians to increase access to justice.
